COVID-19 Precautionary Measures

In response to the ongoing pandemic we have made the following changes to our operational procedures. Please read all the details below as your visit will be affected.

When you call to book an appointment:

You will be asked if you are shielding or self isolating.

You will be asked if yourself or anyone in your household has had, or has shown symptoms relating to covid-19, or if you or anyone in your household is currently showing symptoms of illness because if we feel we are at risk we regretfully have to refuse treatment.

You will be asked if you object to having your temperature taken using an infra-red, non-contact thermometer (of the kind used in airports and hospitals).
Unfortunately, if you show a reading over 38 degrees c you will not receive treatment.

If you are given an appointment:

You will be asked if you can bring your own mask, gloves etc. (we can provide these but supplies are limited)

You will be asked to come alone or with one carer if needed. (no casual companions)

You will be asked to arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your appointment time.

Social distancing is a challenge for us and we can only accommodate one person at a time.

Please do not attend if you start to show symptoms.
We reserve the right to refuse to proceed or continue treatment at any point during your visit.

On arrival at the clinic:

You will be expected to observe social distancing.

If others are in the reception area please wait outside until they leave.

Our reception area is not wide enough to maintain a safe distance.

You will be expected to wear a mask and use hand gel provided.

You will be asked to sign a liability waiver form (waiver form).

The water cooler is no longer available and we have removed all reading material.

We ask that you avoid touching things unnecessarily

We have implemented a contactless card payment system but if you wish to pay with cash please bring the exact amount with you.

We have installed screening to protect clients and practitioners and these do present a barrier.  Please be aware of how these potentially virus carrying 'droplets' are present in everyone's breath and be considerate of all the precautions we have put in place to avoid cross-contamination.

We have upscaled our fastidious hygiene standards to meet the elevated level of risk.

We understand that these changes make life a little more difficult for everyone.  Nobody is safe or unaffected.  We thank you for your ongoing patience and understanding.
